It was a LONG time coming, but finally, FINALLY, we have our first entry in The Midgaheim Bestiary that actually talks about a specific group of monsters! And the group in question is possibly the most important in the whole bestiary, because there’s just going to be a whole slithering shit ton of ‘em.
That’s right, it’s an overview of serpents, a group that includes such cuddly critters as:
Dragons!
Hoogahs!
Basilisks!
And much, much more!
This overview took a lot longer than I anticipated, but I think a lot of that was less about the actual complexity of the project itself and more my neurosis about actually STARTING the bestiary. This project has been in the works for a while - one could arguably say it’s my life’s work, since I started making a grand mythological biology book in preschool. So getting this entry right was important, and I probably stressed about it and fine tuned it more than was necessary. The next entry in the Bestiary will hopefully be quicker to produce.
