Hey guys! How's it going? . It's the weekend, finally! I've been waiting for it like never before 😄 I guess it's because of a tiring week at the office. . So what better way to blow off some steam then with this lovely sherried dram 😉. . Here is my review of the Glendronach 15yo Revival:. . Nose: Raisins, sultanas, figs and prunes. Brown sugar, bright cassis, dark fruit, cocoa, sherry sweetness, vanilla frosting and a bit of malt and citrus. . Palate: Rich and deep, dark fruit notes, malt, graham, cocoa, dark fruit oil, nuts and some vanilla and citrus. Nutmeg, clove, ginger, ripe berries and dry oak. There’s a nice Christmas feeling to this one. . Finish: Long with dark fruit, burnt sugar, spice and oil. . This is definitely a thoroughly sherried dram, right up there with my favorites 😍 It's not the continuation of the old line, rather it's a new profile, but it's great that they revived it 😉🙂Have you guys tried this one? . #Glendronach Boynsmill aged in two different sherry casks (PX and Oloroso) then finally finished in Port cask. Full of fruity notes with apricot flavours leading the way as vanilla notes develop mid palate with mild cinnamon towards the end and onto the finish. Outstanding #sherrybomb. The Grandeur 25 represents all that is great about Glendronach. Pepper, ginger and citrus on the nose turns to sultanas, dark chocolate and sherry on the palate. Spice reruns on the finish as the heat and warmth of the cask strength rounds out an excellent experience. Only problem? The price tag! The #glendronach grandeur 25 is every bit as grand as the name suggests - not to mention that inviting dark colour. Peppery and ginger spice on the nose with a dab of citrus. The palate is filull of dried fruity sweetness such as saltanas, cocoa and delicate toasty notes. The spice returns on the finish as the heat from the cask strength comes to life. A great sherry bomb to savour.
