ANYTHING ELSE?: Well I already talked to you about this, but here’s the explination for the longest app in the history of the world. :D SO, basically I had written up a bio for Sebastian Karofsky and a friend of mine pointed out that it may not be drastic enough of a swap because it has elements of Sebastian’s own storyline in it (ie. the disapproving father), so i decided to write up a second application for Sebastian Evans. But I still really liked the Karafsky Bio, so I just decided to apply for both and let you decide 1) if you like either of them, and 2) which one you liked best! Sorry to make your job harder and I hope this is okay!!

YOUR CHARACTER’S BIOGRAPHY: [KAROFSKY]

Sebastian grew up an only child in a home with traditional, conservative morals and a strict set of rules to live by. From a young age Sebastian had a long list of expectations to adhere to, he was expected to do well in school, to make friends easily, to excel in extra curriculars, and most importantly, to be a ‘man’. A ‘man’ according to his father’s outdated and often misogynistic set of values.

For a long time Sebastian did live by his father’s rigid guidelines, thankfully athletics came easily to him, and so did making friends, he was intelligent, charismatic, charming, well-spoken; everything a father could ask for. He excelled at school, he excelled at life and it seemed as though life would be a breeze for the young boy who was also growing into his looks and his tall, lanky build.

On the night Sebastian turned fourteen his life changed forever, his mother; the true driving force and rock of the family was killed and an instant wedge formed between his father and himself. Sebastian started to change, growing cold and distant as he began to discover, he didn’t fit the mold laid out for him. He was gay; a fact that would never be accepted by his father, his friends, or even himself.

The changes after his realization came quickly, he shut down to the outside world, growing jaded, defensive and ultimately guarded in an indelible way. What once was charm gave way to mock self-confidence presenting in arrogance, snarky, biting tones to hide his pain and an ever-present smirk to mask the tears cried each night.

Sebastian is now a shell of the boy he once was, and everyday he withdraws more. His passion is in song and dance, an activity deemed ‘gay’ by his father, so he sticks to his sports, lacrosse, football, and rugby, anything to keep him out of the house and away the look of disappointment on his father’s face; because even though he’s doing everything ‘right’, his father knows he’ll never be a ‘real man’. For now, he’s coping, spending his weekends sneaking into gaybars, picking up sleazy men twice his age, but he knows it’s only a matter of time before the charade is up. Or until he breaks.

Sebastian Evans was born and raised in Kentucky to an upper middle class family. For the first ten years of his life, he was an only child; happy, charismatic, carefree. On his tenth birthday his parents announced that he was becoming an older brother and he was thrilled. His whole life he'd wished for siblings and all at once he was getting two!

He took to being an older brother well, he was responsible, selfless, loyal and loving, willing to sacrifice time from friends and video games to help his mother out around the house in caring for Stevie and Stacie and for a while, all was well.

At thirteen when a mild recession hit the county he was living in, his father lost his job and his family was left struggling to make ends meet. Eventually he was forced to drop out of the private school he'd attended his entire childhood and enrolled in the public school system.

While he had always been confident and independent, the transition between private and public schools was not an easy one, especially since he was openly gay - a fact well accepted and supported by his family, but not well received by his classmates. He was bullied severely and suffered a huge blow to his self-image and worth.

This issue combined with the fact that he'd taken up a new job; as a stripper - to help make ends meet - only worsened his condition and before long the once bubbly, carefree, friendly young boy was changing. Distant, cold, arrogant and guarded he began to see the world in a way he hadn't before. It wasn't friendly. It didn't do good to those that were good. It was dog eat dog; and he was tired of being on the losing end.

When his Dad finally did find a new job and the family was forced to move to a little hole in the ground town called Lima, in Ohio, Sebastian was a completely different person. He had an air of confidence about him, he oozed a presence that let everyone know what he was thinking, which was usually; 'I'm better than you' coupled with a snide look that was really just a thinly veiled cry for help.

HEADCANONS:

Sebastian would never admit to it - because it’s ‘beneath’ him - but he is a reality television junkie! He lives for trashy shows by Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Housewives (of all major cities), and the Dance Moms. If there’s a chance of expensive chardonnay being thrown in the face of an overly tanned hot mess - Sebastian watches it. He often refers to his knowledge of these shows when he uses their content as a backdrop for his biting and at times hurtful commentary towards the general public.

Sebastian’s dream is to be in a Broadway production of Les Miserables. As a child his mother took him to see the musical whenever possible - even poorly executed off Broadway versions of it because she loved it so much. She also sang him the song ‘A Little Fall of Rain’ as a lullaby and it is still his favorite song of all time, it was also the song he sang when he auditioned for the Glee Club.

Sebastian has an obsession with the French culture; he taught himself french and has immersed himself in French literature, music and other art forms. He dreams of visiting France (Paris), one day or if he’s lucky, even living there.

[Karofsky] While Sebastian is gay and is only physically attracted to men, this hasn’t stopped him from dating woman in the passed. Usually this was done out of self-preservation; but in some rare occasions it was actually because he enjoyed their company and felt a connection with them he hadn’t felt with a man in a while (probably because most of the men he’s found himself with were close to double his age).
