Chelseaaa, since I've been on a cartoon binge as of late, I'm going to make the decision to watch a few more and I'm going to take some of your favorites to heart? Like Adventure Time?
Ah, this is my very favorite thing! I'll just throw a bunch of recommendations at you, and you can decide which ones are interesting.
Adventure Time is an obvious delight - I started watching it because of its unique brand of humor, but the world-building and the complex character relationships just make it one of the best shows on TV. It's just really special, and I'm just filled with love for it every time I watch it.
Gravity Falls would be a good one, too, especially since it just started. It's got a great cult feel to it and the promise of an overarching mythos that I can't wait to see. It's also absolutely hilarious.
Phineas and Ferb is one of the smartest shows on TV, and it's also one of the most good-natured. It never relies on cynicism or bawdy humor but plays a lot with its own tropes and uses amazingly complex narrative structure. The characters are all fantastimazing, and THE MUSIC.
I would also really recommend Green Lantern: The Animated Series, produced by Bruce Timm, which just finished up its first season arc. I don't know a thing about Green Lantern, but this show is a delight.
Young Justice is pretty good, too, occasionally has funky storytelling, but it kind of slowly sinks its teeth into you, and all of a sudden you have ALL THE SUPERBOY FEELINGS.
Shows that aren't currently airing:
Kim Possible, the greatest of action cartoons. Kickass ladies, adorably dynamic male sidekicks (even if Dr. Drakken is technically the evil mastermind, he's got a sidekick ~personality).
TEEN TITANS. You already love DC, so if you haven't seen this show, OMG PLEASE PLEASE WATCH IT. It perfectly balances really fun, character-driven humor with incredibly dark storylines, and it is basically my favorite show of all time.
Codename: Kids Next Door is also GREAT for world-building. I'm about to rewatch the whole series, so I just have it on my mind.
And Hey Arnold, of course, because... WOW.Â
