SKIN O2 - Bake Face Powder - My Personal Product Review
Hello everyone, it has been a busy couple of months but I am slowly getting back into my blog. I have been a busy little bee, trying out new things, more makeup, essential oils and other products that peak my interests.
The latest craze in my house hold for me is the Skin O2 products. I am so lucky to be trying these out as I have been searching for a white face powder that I like and sits well with my little fluffy face :) I am also very pale with freckles so alot of setting powders the shade is too dark for my skin and I lose my beautiful light colour and end up looking like my freckles, much darker and I don’t like that. I know I should of stayed out of the sun more when I was younger and even now, but it’s a bit hard to do living in the tropics of far north queensland.
Ok ok onto the product, well my first Skin O2 product is the Bake Face Matte Translucent Power - white (yay love white). It’s also a loose powder so you can take out as little or as much as you like. Can I hear a woot woot. Yep, I can hear ya.
I used to wear a translucent powder in light which was a natural shade, for me little dark but it was ok. I haven’t been using it anymore to set my face, I have been using this Skin O2 one as it’s great for setting your whole face, eyelids, even baking under your eyes to get that light glowing feeling. I am in love with this product and I am now wondering why it took me so long to do the change. Probably I felt obligated to wear products that I already owned but something we much go outside out comfort zone and give new products a try.
I actually tried this powder with a couple of concealers and I am fussy with concealers. So I ended up going to buy the Skin O2 3D Face Stick Contour and Highlight underneath as it is awesome as well. I know I don’t use things as they are meant to be used. I mix it up and play around, it’s that the fun about makeup you can make things work for you.
The contour and hightlight stick goes on so smooth and creamy, love love love the glide factor. So I am going to play around with these products over the next couple of weeks and post a couple more images. As it’s coming up to Halloween I might try and do an out there style image. We will see, how I go. I will be posting images and photos or the products and swatches soon. Please check back and follow me.
If you are interested in trying these products out, go to glamaCo, they have the SKIN O2 collection and the stuff are pretty awesome at helping you choose what you will need.

Coming soon - SKIN O2
Grand Opening - glamaCo in Domain Townsville
Hi everyone I had the awesome pleasure of going to my first ever Grand Opening event, which was at the Garbutt glamaCo store. Silly me knew it was coming up but then I just thought I missed it and then the night before I found an email advertising the occasion and I got excited. Who doesn't like looking at makeup and hair products??
There was a massive incentive to get myself up early, and leave my little ones with their daddy, they were giving away goodie bags with every $50 purchase, yes you heard me right....Woot woot I was very excited I have never got a goodie bag of products before. I have been one of those people who think I would miss out or they will be all gone by the time I get there but then I thought hey it's Townsville there shouldn't be too many people there....
I was wrong, there was a line of people waiting to get into the store, yes a line in Townsville the most layed back place. Lucky it was a beauty store otherwise I would of just walked back to my car after getting a coffee. I stayed and I stood in line with some other awesome ladies which was great to chat to, which made the time go fast. Yay the lines went down after a while and I was going in.
The staff did a great job as they were only letting in so many people at a time so it didn't get overly chaotic and it was such a good thing as, I normally go blank when walking in a beauty shop and for get what I was there for, just due to the overwhelming beauty of makeup and excited of other shoppers in the store.
I was happy, even though there was a lot of people in the store I was still able to talk with a very helpful staff member who took the time to go over some of the Pretty range products with me. Yes I am going to be trying more of the range, so stay tuned for that. Those reviews will be coming up in the next week or so. So much I want to talk about, I gotta fit it all in :)
I got all my products and had a chat here and there with the other customers and then I was at the counter all I wanted to see was the magic bag of goodies (do you remember I said it was my first one ever, very exciting). I got my pretties and my goodies bag and then went and got a coffee. yay.
Moral of my Saturday morning adventure, don't put off things just cause your not sure if you will get what you want or have a great time while out, as along the way, you will meet great people and maybe even make someone elses day just by having a chat with them.
Thank you glamaCo for putting on such a great Grand Opening, so worth getting up early and standing in line.
Here is a pic of the awesome goodies I picked up, if ever you have a chance to go to any Grand Opening JUST DO IT....
After uploading I am thinking I should of reduced my image a lot more but hey, it’s up and there and that is all that matter. I just wanted to share my experience with all so you don’t let an event slip through your fingers just because you talk yourself out of it. Just think of that magic bag of goodies that could be waiting for you along your journey and the friends you might meet as well :)
Pretty - Liquid Eyeliner - My Personal Product Review
Hi and welcome to my review. Today I am testing out the Liquid Eyeliner from Pretty by Flormar in Black, which can be purchased at glamaCo, all details are below as well as a before and after.
I love eyeliner, give me a good old cat eye any day. I normally go with a gel liner as I am starting to get creative with my liner application but I have only just got my new lash extensions on and this was the first time I was applying eyeliner with my longer lashes on. Oh my yep it was different and I had to keep going higher than I normally would hold the brush to get a nice even line. I did it, this is what happens when you want to take things a step further and get your baby lashes lengthened. Totally worth it, I just have to get used to applying eye makeup in a little different way.
Any who, back to the product....BLACK now I remember when I used to go looking for the blackest pencil liner I could get, I wanted those dark looks which went perfect for my teenage years :) I never could get it as dark as I wanted, mostly cause it was a pencil and the pigment just wasn't there. This eyeliner that I am trying today is blackest of the black, I love how dark it is. It stand out if you do a lovely thick line or wing, it also stands out if you just do a thin line on the your lash line.
The only thing that can be a little tricky with liquid eyeliner is the applicator brush. I find for my everything has to be perfect personality I always end up getting a lip liner brush or angled liner brush out and applying a little product on the back of my hand and then applying the product onto my lashline. I actually found that once I got the hang of my new lashes and the angle I didn't mind this application brush that comes with the liner. I did use the products brush to apply and then to get the points at the end, I just used the Pro Liner Angled brush 605 from glamaCo to get a crisp corner. I guess it all comes down to what you like and how you apply the product.
I was really happy with this product and how dark this liner was. It really makes it stand out and when you add eyeshadows and other makeup around it, your baby eyes and lashes will pop from the intensity.
Here is also a before and after of my eye using the Liquid Eyeliner.

*In these review I am trying to not use other makeup or products as I want the concentration to fully be on the product being reviewed and not another product which I was wearing. Hense why I thought I should mention the looks that I could do with this liner will be impressive and I hope you keep coming back and seeing what I have been doing. You never know what I am going to get up to.

Pretty - Cover Up Liquid Concealer - My Personal Product Review
Hi everyone, I am back with my second Pretty by Flormar review.
Today I am talking about concealer and I got the chance to try the awesome Cover Up Liquid Concealer by Pretty in 01 Light Ivory, which can be purchased at glamaCo, all details below.
So let me tell you a little secret of mine, which is pretty obvious once you look at my face without makeup, I have dark circles not only under my eyes, they are also on the inner corners of my eyes. Yay thanks to genetics and my lovely deep set eyes, I have had to try and cover this up all my life. Didn't really worry to much after having my kids as hey I'm a mum and I'm tired alot. But then someone metioned to me that my two little girls looked really tired too and then realised hey thanks to my lovely family genes my daughters were lucky to get this awesome gift from me.
It's all good because that is why makeup was invented to help everyone cover up anything which they would like to conceal. Don't get me wrong, we are all born beautiful in our natural skin but who doesn't want to feel confident when they look in the mirror or step out into the outside world.I know I feel so much better when I cover mine up, my little ones will have to wait until they are much older before they start wearing makeup but when the time is right and if they come to me wanting help in enhancing their features to help them feel better in themselves, I am all for it and I will show them the tricks of the trade to feel beautiful both inside and out.
Ok back to the review, just wanted to share a little of why I was excited in trying a concealer as I have found some that have come close but I am always searching for something better.Well I am very happy with what I have found.
The most awesome thing for me is this concealer has a pink undertone, in stead of a yellow one which most concealers I have bought have had.It all comes back to colour correcting and it is such a unique art which everyone is different, so the best thing is to do is play play play with different concealers and undertones to get the look you are after.
So.....Pink undertone, yay, very happy, Do you know what this means??? I don't have to worry about adding a colour corrector under my concealer to try and hid my purple/bluish circles.I have such light skin too so when I normally add any type of colour correctors, I will mix pink and peach to get a correct colour match and then put the concealer over it to bring everything back to a normal skin colour. Most of the time it would be too pink and it will show through the concealer, meaning... more product, more coverage and then...dun dun dun...caking can happen and no one wants that. Once again yay for pink undertones :)
I found the product very light and creamy for a liquid concealer which is awesome, light fluffy and it gives you that dreamy look, that everyone wants, well I do :)
The applicator which comes with it is a nice size and is perfect for getting into those inner corners of the eyes which is where i need to place it, as i'm unique and need that extra area coverage. As a makeup artist I don’t put the applicator onto the clients skin, so I use a concealer brush. So I tested out the Pro Concealer 704 Brush from glamaCo and it works a treat. I just dab some product on the back of my hand and then use the brush to blend it into the skin.
Another fantastic use for this concealer is using it as an eye primer. As I am in love with the pink undertone of this product and I have some discolouration on my eyelid I ended up just covering the whole eye socket area to get a lovely base coverage which also seconds as a eye primer, win win in my books. Once I am done with my concealer my eyes are primed and ready to get wild with colour. I do add a little setting powder over the concealer to just seal everything in place.
So for my second test of the Pretty line, I am very happy. For an up and coming Makeup Artist or anyone who wants to use this product, it's perfect to add to your makeup kit and also it's not to expensive at $15.00.
Now do I hear you say WINNING, if not... go and check out a glamaCo store near you or even just buy this concealer, you won’t be sorry as who doesn't need concealer?? If you are so lucky to have the most flawless skin and don't need a concealer, I bet you will know someone who would benefit from this product, great gift ideas. Also great for those other areas you want to cover up and conceal.
Here is also a before and after of my skin using this Light Ivory Concealer.

Pretty - All in one Mascara - My Personal Product Review
Hi my name is Wendy and this is my first product review post, woohoo, yes I have always wanted to do this and I finally have an opportunity to review some products and give my opinion on the products and how they can help others.
Today I had the pleasure of trying out the Pretty range which is sold at glamaCo - awesome place to shop for all your hair, makeup and salon needs. I also visit the store locally in Townsville - Domain and they are wonderful in there and very helpful.
Woot woot it's Mascara time and I never thought I would fall in love with a mascara wand (which I have now named my Magic Wand). All I can say is WOW as I have never really worried about my lashes but I have noticed that over time my lashes have gone from beautiful vibrant curly ones to straight and boring ones. I would just buy any type of mascara and go with it. Not anymore, I have seen the light and I am not going back.
From the first moment I placed that magic wand onto my flat lashes I could feel the wand hold onto my lashes and actually coat each individual hair, like no other one has ever done. Yep and I have tried a lot in my search for the perfect Mascara, that will not only coat my lashes in a yummy black colour but also help curl and hold it in place. I haven't had much luck with eyelash curlers but that is a post for another day.
Back to the magic wand, it's awesome and I think when I have finished this mascara I will be adding this baby into my personal brush set as I love it that much :) Until I can find a brush that is just as good, I'm not letting this baby out of my sight.
The Pretty by Flormar all in one mascara is just what is states it is on the GlamaCo website:
Voluminous, definite and long eye lashes!
The magic wand mascara brush is a special fiber brush that helps intensify the lash volume, help seperate and define the lashes perfectly. Yep yep yep.
The creamy texture wraps around every single lash from root to tip to create skyline worthly length and lift to customize your lashes. Yes it does and it's amazing.
From the very first application the mascara gives perfectly thickened, well-defined lashes. Yes, from the very first time you curl that baby around your lashes, you will be amazed at the results.
Don't just take my word for it, go out and get yourself some of this awesome product.
For only $15 you can't go wrong.
