okay baby so i know your sleeping patterns have been a bit like -uses swear word here- (sh im an adult now) and i think it's important for you to have some sort of resources so you can get yourself back on your feet but most importantly we will help you get there because it is very fucking possible thank you. and relapsing and crying will occur, but we will be here for you always and i love you more than depression can ever ruin your life. you're still more than that my princess.

SLEEPING AND STUFF

you can either try downloading sleepbot on your phone (i've been tracking my hours of sleep. always make sure you get at least eight or seven hours per night) but if you're more of the writing bitch you can find sleeping charts on google and this one seemed pretty interesting. 

when you go to sleep you better promise yourself you'll make a ritual of it. hell, do whatever you must to be relaxed (NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL, they only intensify depression and you must absolutely avoid them as much as you can. HOLLA THIS HAS EVERYTHING YOU MUST KNOW!!!)

okay so your sleeping rituals must include at least one of these: showering, listening to relaxing music (i've got tons of useful playlists if you'd like), stretching, tURNING OFF YOUR COMPUTER, drinking tea or water, reading a boring book or practising self-massage (yeah even masturbation counts wtf did i just say) also ANOTHER RESOURCE holla!!

chamomile tea and comfy blankets do help

in case nothing works, get out of your room. find somewhere else to stay in your house and try to be very quiet. don't turn on the tv, just try to breathe in and read a book or relax on the couch. it does help, i promise.

THE IMPORTANT SELF-CARE STUFF

take a shower. everyday. 

paint your nails or do your hair every now and then, it's going to do you good.

constantly ask yourself how you've been feeling.

eat when you're hungry. drink a shitload of water.

try to exercise. walking, running and biking help for the most part but maintain a schedule for it, or else it might ruin your sleeping patterns. i'll keep track of that for you.

write what you feel. record it. email it. shout it. your feelings are important to write down and memorize and you need to know you will not be sad forever, queen.

KILLER SELF-CONFIDENCE: fake it until you make it. and don't worry. you are a lot more than what you feel like, than what you see, than what you feel. you will always be more.

THE MAIN KEY TO SELF-CARE IS NEVER GIVING UP. THINK OF YOURSELF, BE VAIN AS FUCK, GO GET THOSE DAMN PAIR OF HEELS, SNEAKERS OR BOOTS AND GO ROCK THEM. YOU'RE HOT AS A SUMMER DAY WITH RAINBOWS AND A DASH OF ADORABLENESS WITH ALL OF THE AWESOMENESS THAT ONE HUMAN BEING COULD CONTAIN don't give up ily

your happiness comes first.

THE SOCIAL STUFF

you won't always want to go out. try to go out anyways. 

you'll be bored, you'll feel hated and despised and guilty. people will still love you anyways.

let people go. if they are not meant to be in your life, they just won't be there. breathe in and forgive them. not for who they are, but for who you are and because you're worth living a life without bitterness around your eyes.

if people don't respect you, stand up. although i know you can do that and i trust you.

open up. it might feel messy or awkward or wrong, but it's not. you need to open up. you need people as much as they need you.

smile to people. say i love you more, hug them when you can. you may feel needy and clingy but every now and then we need to be five year olds seeking for physical affection or else everything will feel cold and stupid

don't be afraid to ask for attention, you can always ask for attention.
