That’s one in ten chickens bought in the U.K.! I’m bad at filling my fridge and forgetting what’s in it but i then panic and cook it all - see Stories for how to save a last ditch chicken, save cash and time and get a tasty supper from it. Love Food Hate Waste’s recent study showed the stats of this MOUNTAIN of binned poultry?! And they said the main reason is because nearly half of 18-34 yr olds didn’t know you could freeze chicken. So please spread the word and save this mad waste! It’s the planet too. Methane from food waste is a way more harmful gas than C02. Some cash and chicken saving tips: ❄️You can freeze chicken for up to a year. 🔥You can freeze then cook then freeze too. 🍗🍲🌮Make a plan and use your chicken lots of ways. I roasted a chicken yesterday that was on its last day, having stir fry for supper.
