A sound stirred the Hyur from her lazy sketching, a rustle in the brush beyond the tree she leaned against. Curious, she shifted her weight to peer around its edge, pencil temporarily forgotten. Nothing over there... She craned her neck further. Listened.
The movement had ceased. Was it a skittish animal?
Giouna straightened her position once more to return to her work -- and froze. A stranger stood a yalm to her right. Judging by their clothing -- and the obscurity of the location, so far from standard roads or paths -- it must have been an adventurer. Looking at their face, though...
“Uh,” she smiled as affably as one caught unawares could, “Sorry. I thought I was alone.”
