How to Start Ginger at Home in Water | Easy Method for a Bigger Harvest | Black Fit Gardeners
In this video, I walk you through my simple and effective method for starting ginger plants at home using leftover ginger harvested from my garden. Instead of planting the ginger directly into the soil, I use water propagation by placing cut pieces of ginger into water-filled glasses supported with toothpicks. This helps encourage rhizome growth before transplanting. I also explain how I trim the ginger pieces slightly to make it easier for new growth to form and share why I prefer this method based on last year’s successful harvest. After setup, I place the glasses under a grow light and monitor the water levels regularly.
