Gingerella protecting her stolen impala kill from hyenas. This was when she was still a solo lioness after leaving the Othawa Pride and before permanently joining the older Ximhungwe lioness. Ironically, her mother Sassy would go on to steal this kill from her later.

gingerella’s wounds presumably from the hyena attack which took ximhungwe’s life. these screenshots were taken from a video by the ranger ebenezer wherein gingerella and her daughters were responding to the othawa female. she moved quickly even with the presence of this injury; something to be hopeful about.
