Why I like them: i really like the tragedy of their relationship, it’s really dark and messed up, but their origin story really was Something. like the hero/villain trope is done so little on screen, like sure maybe they’ll have an affair at the most, but a hero and a villain getting married?? having a kid together??? you don’t see that too often on the shows and movies bc writers are cowards hdhxhxh but i enjoy the idea of it greatly, even if she was never even in an acting scene. i wonder how they started out, how she delt with being in a relationship with her enemy (im assuming she knew), i just really want to see how they fell into that situation. plus im curious what their families and teammates thought of the relationship (if they even knew, since pat didn’t seem to be aware of merri’s relationship with henry). all of this makes their relationship intriguing and fun to think about 

Why I don’t: he murdered her. jndhxjxhh it’s a big thing getting in the way of the ship, i am very aware it’s a problem

Favorite episode: brainwave jr was the most that went into their relationship so that. and bc it’s basically the only episode dhhxhxhx

Favorite line: “my wife is dead” hdhdhdhd this is the worst line to pick, but i love it. even tho it’s confusing with the context that he killed her??? originally when i heard it, it killed me. like ...... there were married yall. like married married. that’s soft (again IGNORE CONTEXT). close runner up: “there are no good thoughts to be found” (i may have ruined this line for leo bc i say it too often as a joke, but it’s funny shhxhzh im sorry)

Favorite outfit: we never saw merri’s superhero suit but i wanna see them both wearing their supersuits in a scene together 🥺 it’s cute pls let me see

Head Canon: they were so, so attached to each other. desperately and pathetically in love. she was the first person to ever love him back and henry never was able to figure out how to hold back his excitement over that. merri loved that about him, how much he wanted to impress her. i feel like in canon he fell in love with her when she arrested him, prompting him to find her later on and try to get her to fall in love with him, but i also like the idea of them seeing each other at the bank and instantly going 😳 at each other. just this once i will allow love at first sight

Unpopular opinion: the gimmickwave fandom is so small i honestly can’t think of anything?? no idea if anyone really ships it outside of you, leo, and me, but i feel like we have the same concept of them??? i like that

A wish: bring merri back? and henry?? have a flashback of them maybe??? make it so that she faked her death???? maybe even a fight scene between them????????? i want it all

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: have henry come back and turn good without merri or jr also being alive somehow. if he must turn good i want it to happen for his family and his family only (i need the guilt pls)
