"Thank you," he said flatly, not sure whether to laugh or groan and settling for something in between. "Please tell me you at least remembered to keep picking up my subscriptions at the comic shop. I've been texting in my orders whenever I got a chance..."

a phrase that can mean one and only one thing, in jeanne-marie’s experience: trouble is on the horizon.

“tommy, not here,” she whispers as she extends a hand to the younger speedster, referring to the preoccupied crowd of people around them, then looks him in the eyes to signal the rest of their next plan. “follow me, please.”

and then ZOOM. there’s two blurs of green and white as the two head off somewhere safer, quieter, and far, far away from the others, which unfortunately does include over half of the magnus family, as well jeanne-marie’s own brother and the x-factor members; polaris, for one, occupies a seat in both groups, but still, that’s not a combination you want to get trapped in.

   “No, it doesn’t,” David says, tone heavy. “You can never take back what you’ve done but y’ can try to heal the damage you’ve cause. Y’ can try to do more good than evil.”

    David takes a deep, steadying breath. A hand rises to rub at his eyes. He feels a headache coming on but he’s not sure if it’s Tommy’s fault or because this sort of conversation makes him think about everything he regrets. Everything he’s ever done to cause harm and suffering. These things that weren’t entirely his fault, but he has to continue to carry. These things that might happen again because he knows himself. He knows how cruel he can be. How capable he is of forgetting how easy it is to ruin lives.

   Does Tommy know that? Does he understand the consequences people can cause? With or without the powers they have?

A bit of a wicked grin comes to the divider's face, truly not being able to help himself at the posed question from the speedster. An interesting and fun one too, since it was something that may or may not have been momentarily pondered in passing through the few interactions that he's had with the other. Hey, what could he say? The dude’s good looking and fun to talk to. The answer was obvious for Billy.

Of all the people Kate had ever been with, Tommy was proving himself to be the biggest tease of them all. Something told her he'd be proud of it, too.

      the assistant was observing  the  young  man  as  he  paced  around  the  office  and  started  to  talk  very  quickly.  karen  wasn't  able  to  scribble  anything  down,  so  she  just  looked  at  him  with  those  big  blue  eyes  and  lifted  a  hand  to  get  his  attention  back  to  her  so  she  could  speak.
