confusion , at first lol. he always found girls attractive , both aesthetically & sexually. & he could appreciate guys for their looks but he never really thought he would like , be attracted to them in the sense of wanting to be with them either physically or romantically ?Â
& then it’s his third year of high school & he meets another player from a rival school ( dunno who yet ) & they hit it off immediately. they live int he same area so they exchange numbers & they talk about this band that they mutually love & teru finds himself so ? attracted to their mind & their voice & their laugh & they flirt a lot like.Â

THEIR FOURTH KISS TASTES OF TEARS.  it’s their third official date as a couple. & they decided seeing a tragedy would be fun so they could find moments to make fun off in order to , hopefully , off set the negative emotions. alas , their plan fails. terushima feels tears falling down his cheeks.dammit. he didn’t want to be the first one to break ! & suddenly lips press against his cheeks. kissing away at the tears. kissing until she reaches his bottom lip. turning his head so their lips can meet & can taste his tears on her tongue. but dear god if her kisses didn’t taste like honey sunlight / drying up his tears.Â

THEIR FIFTH KISS IS AN EXPERIMENT.   one day camie went “ what types of kisses are there ? ” & thus the experiment was born. to try any & all forms of kisses they discovered. the more ridiculous , the better. they go for the spiderman kiss , because they’re outside anyways. terushima climbed up the nearest tree , sitting on the branch & swinging until he’s upside down. camie jumps ! & teru laughs ! & she laughs , cupping his face & running her nails through his hair ( he;s becoming addicted to the feeling , the scrape along the shaved part of his hair , it scratches an itch he didn’t know he had ). & they kiss. it’s weird to get the angles right but their lips know each other intimately & they find their rhythm soon enough. he’d kiss her in any form , in any moment.Â
is terushima really content with himself as he and his personal life is now? family, "direction" etc. included. or is his personality "compensating" for a lack of a better term ?
yes & no. yes in , he finally feels like he knows what he wants to do with his life , in this particular moment. after losing to karasuno he feels defeated at first but also he , for the first time in a while feels like there’s direction. he wants to continue building the team from the ground up. they proved that in their raw form they can do well but he wants to do better ----- he wants to win & beat every team out there. that’s what he wants to do & he thinks his team can do that.Â
so for himself , he feels energized & for the first time feels a pull in his chest ? a FEELING that he wants to follow & capitalize on that’s not plain destruction or rooted in apathy. and at the same time he’s not happy overall because third year is coming up and while he’s not one to think ahead , he does know that after high school there’s always that make or break. the decision to cut ties with his fam or to continue following in their shadow. he’s done little things of rebellion but he hasn’t , nor does he feel like he can , escape entirely.Â
so yeah his personality is definitely him like, forming his identity and partially playing into the role people have given him as this huge party boy / play boy. but it is who is. just a facet of him. he thinks being extra will deflect people enough from asking personal questions ^^ keep everyone at a good distance haha !Â
would you say that in order to solidify a deeper relationship w terushima you absolutely need a strong basis like childhood or something integrated into it? would you say that's bc he has difficulty with really "getting into" new people per se
nah not really ? u just gotta hold his interest lmao. if he doesn’t find you interesting he probably won’t pay you much mind. it’s not to say he’s not friendly. because he is and he knows how to chat people up and he can generally get a crowd of people around him if he wanted to. just he won’t offer or extend an effort to be friends with people if he finds them boring. that’s all ^^.Â

bobata is teru’s best friend. his ride or die. he’s the member that terushima is closest with ont he team. there’s DEFINITELY a deeper significance. that i can talk about bc i don’t have a bobata so im forcing headcanons ^^ but bobata is one of the few people who know about his family situation. since they live so close by bobata has offered his home up to teru on numerous occasions, especially on nights when the tensions ran high at the terushima house.Â
they’ve gotten into fights together. wingman for each other. bring each other out of dark waters & offer a shoulder when the other just feels like breaking down ? they are VERY TIGHT and can catch sudden shifts in the other’s mood , know how to read one another. etc.Â
