Mabel watched as the stone slowly crept its way up her arm. She was in some of the worst pain of her life, and was scolding herself for trying to make one of the few potions described in Journal 2 with a shady description. She had thought that it would make her immune to poison so that she could spend time with her scorpion without injecting herself with a serum every six minutes.
Come to think of it, that would have been easier than running hickeldy-pickeldy all over the forest to find ingredients only to be turned into a living statue as she watched.
The jade stopped spreading temporarily after a minute, and she pulled her sleeve back down, continuing her trek through the forest to try and find an antidote and not realizing that little spots of jade were starting to appear on her neck and the side of her face.
