OC defeats Gohma  First a scary man burns down a village, an elf boy attacks them, now a giant eyeball spider is chasing them, how does this keep happening to them! Running out of breathe, they both hid behind a tree and tried to come up with a plan. Oriana started to observe the giant spider's movements. She watched it lower its body and took notice that it stopped shooting its laser. turns out that the eye was open on the top of the spider as well. It must be using the sun to shoot the laser and it wouldn't not be able to shoot from the top. that must be its weak spot thought Oriana. Sharing this news with Lilac, they started discussing what should be their next move. Lilac suggested they wait until nighttime, without the sun, it couldn't hurt them. Oriana looked at the angle of the sun and knew they couldn't wait that long.  The giant spider creeped closer and Oriana knew she had to do something. Using her sharp nails, she climbed the tree with ease and hid in the leaves. Once the giant spider was within jumping range, she leaped out of the tree and landed on the spiders big eye. The eye was extremely gooey, a mess that she would have to clean up later. the giant spider let out a monstrous scream and shouted back up to the sky. Oriana fell to her knees as the pupil locked on her. Luckily this meant that it couldn't shoot the laser at Lilac.  Suddenly Oriana felt something holy, she was not familiar with this feeling but it felt nice. The closest thing was the light fairy power from back home. She tried to look past the pupil and she thought she could see something glowing beneath it. the pupil quickly moved as if to hide whatever it was. Without hesitation, Oriana drew her knife from its sheath and with all her might, she stabbed the giant spider right in the middle of her pupil.  The glow got brighter and the monster let out a defeated scream. Heading back to the office after working from home for months was kinda weird, but it actually was QUITE clean as the building’s cleaning crew kept up with it well. But the general gag of cobwebs as a way of showing the passage of time was too fun to pass up, once I decided to go with the Hobbit parody angle. Originally, I had considered this being an Indiana Jones parody, but remembered that I had done something similar a few years ago. And the cobwebs of the last panel inspired the giant spider, which then inspired the callback to the poor spider I threw a garbage bag at a few weeks ago. SEE, the spider is FINE! lol

"Ominous" - My friends and I made up a sort of meme awhile back, something about a giant spider coming out of the ether, and just reaching out one of its legs as it whispers to you... "Shut up". It's funny to me in my head, so I just decided to draw it, as dumb as it is. Probably it doesn't fit the term ominous but whatever it's ominous enough. Let me just say though, if that ever happens to you, you're doing something wrong.
