新たに改訂し発表されたイギリスの"National Lottery=公営ロト"(くじ引き)。その一環として最高賞金の抽選のために、６つの巨大なロト・ボール(くじ引きの玉)が、あの有名なテムズ河をスコットランドの方へ、ロンドンの多くの名所通り過ぎつつ下っていった。
これらの巨大ロト・ボールは「新しく、より大きいロト」をシンボル化したもので、10/5の土曜から20,000ポンド(約300万円)を千人の人たちにそれぞれ与えるという方法で10,000,000ポンド(約15億円)のジャックポット(総額賞金)を大々的にうたっている。
その改訂されたロトは、プレイヤーにより多くの金額を当てて貰うよう努力する事により、UK(ユナイテッド・キングダム)全体の公営ロト・プロジェクトの資金も増やす事になるとしている。

その金額を聴くと、これは国営で財源は・・なんて考えてしまうかもしれないが、この動画じたいの美しさに焦点に当ててみると実に素晴らしい動画だと思う。意外にもこのクオリティの有名なタワーブリッジやテムズ川に沿ったロンドンのビルが写った綺麗な動画はなかなか見つけられないと思う。是非近代的なビルと歴史あるテムズの"今のロンドン"を堪能して欲しい。そしてタイムライプス(低速度撮影)で撮ったロンドンの歴史そのものでもあるタワーブリッジを巨大ロト・ボールのボートが通り過ぎてゆく・・最後のほうにチラッ出ているがタワーブリッジの前には軍艦も。
