well nobody said u cant enjoy it but idk whats the point of tellin ppl to stop criticizin it when they have every rights to do so (and the whole fatalism “everything is problematic” kinda leads to nothing imo its not a fatality and it can be changed) I did not said that, but criticizing without knowing doesn’t lead anywhere either.

yeah and i get that but if black people esp black trans ppl dont feel comf supporting anything to do w her and dont want others to either then i rlly cant blame em no matter the content of the show, u feel? Yep’. I hope it will not get too far like “you like sense8, therefore you’re a racist shit”, because people tend to go black-or-white concerning social justice and this tv show really doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment. Where i do not agree it’s to encourage people not to watch it simply because of her, it’s very unfair. Especially since you cannot avoid problematic persons/plots if you want to do something on screen because that’s how this field work right now.

its. lana wachowski literally told people to stop caring about black rights and explicitly blamed black people for TRANSPHOBIA EXISTING like id say that w her being hailed as a huge amazing producer its fair for it to be a uh. Turn-off Yeah i get that we need to criticize her  and her opinion. But sense8 has nothing to do with it, it’s not blatantly racist. I mean her and her opinions are not sense8. If i hadn’t seen the post, i wouldn’t even have known that someone racist was behind the scene. Frankly, i wouldn’t have minded if it was anything other than sense8, but this tvshow is actually great and does show good representation, wether we like it or not and it’s too bad to encourage people not to watch it simply because of her. Basically, she’s a bad person, but she worked with talented other artists and they deserve to get recognition just as much as she need to rethink about her opinions.

I totally understand that you’re uncomfortable with these aspects of the serie and it’s a very good reason to avoid it, if you want to. But it’s also the first show i acually really ENJOYED watching for a long time and it’s very tiring to see people looking down on it simply because of one member (you’re right, she’s producer and writer, but she’s not the only one either). It’s otherwise really good, and kind of accurate, concerning the subjects they reach. And i’m actually glad to see sceneries from all around the world, it’s beautiful, and so far it’s the only serie i’ve seen with so much diversity and i appreciate it, especially since part of my family is indian. I’m disappointed that people are not actually encouraging it, even with these problematic aspects (i mean EVERY tv show is problematic when you really look into it). Concerning the supposedly homophobic stuff, i’ve seen the post, and no sources, so i have no idea if it’s accurate. But in the serie, it’s not stated that the character mentioned in this post is 100% lesbian. In the scene mentionned, she’s having sex with her girlfriend while simultaneously connecting with her ohers male-self. She can break the link anytime she wants, but she’s enjoying herself and appreciates the experience. So she either stays a lesbian who had an kind-of-“heterosexual” experience, or she just changed her sexual orientation, because that’s what people do  sometimes.
