The ghost of King Hamlet reveals himself to young Hamlet, revealing that he was murdered by his brother. He asks his son to avenge his death and young Hamlet proceeds to do just that. It is a tale of deceit, murder and betrayal. I love this play, but the reason it's a tragedy is not only because the king was murdered, but that young Hamlet gave up his soul to revenge. He was responsible for the death of many in the pursuit of what he deemed justice and honour. Most of life's important decisions never really work out well if they are based on emotions such as contempt, melancholy and anger. It's time to think things through, get all of the facts and consider the consequences before rushing into judgement.

You may have heard the saying "Jack Frost is nipping at your nose"…well, Jack Frost is a winter spirit and he warns people of the dangers of the cold weather. He also makes beautiful designs of frost and ice. I think the message today is to heat up, go within, find you passion, find your creativity. Don't let your creativity freeze up. I heard a quote recently, "A composer needs to compose". This means that if you compose music, you need to always compost music, if you paint, you always need to paint. It's very true that if you stop doing something, use it or lose it. I've been there. I stopped drawing during a rough period and I found it very tough to get back to it. So don't a freeze on your creativity my friends.
