I was the HUGEST Metallica fan when I was a kid and having Kirk Hammett's sig series guitar was like a dream come true. Fast forward 18 years and it's still one of the best playing instruments I've ever held. I'm not one for EMGs, so I hit up my dude @thedrowntown over @blktri pickups up for a set of humbuckers that had an extended low end to them. Something warm and fat, like a carcass, or a freshly saber'd Tauntaun on a cold Hoth afternoon. Lo and behold, he came through. This guitar is a doom machine now, and I couldn't be happier with it. The Ghost Coil in particular, which is in the neck position, is now one of my favorite pickups period. It does everything from surf to grunge and back. I'm endlessly impressed with his work ethic and attention to detail. Great kisser too. Needless to say, I couldn't be happier with this set. Thank you Mike. Real talk.
