😭 Have you ever made yourself cry writing a fic?

yep! some fics I write for the pure joy of writing, others I write to work out some emotional issue in a creative, positive (to me) way.

☀️ Has anyone ever left you a comment that made your day? What did it say?

any/every comment brightens my day!! it’s great hearing back from my readers. I especially love comments where people go “omg I can’t believe you made me like x character - never thought that would happen” or something of that sort.

“war paint” by @andypantsx3 - My Hero Academia, bakugo/reader, medieval style mulan!au with a hardy reader insert - i think this is one of the first of andie’s fics that I read (so it sticks out the most), although I adore each and every one of her stories and highly recommend them. her reader characters are always vibrant, and her stories are always very concise and robust. she has a story to tell, and by golly, she tells it.

“sugar scorched” by @arestorationofbalance - My Hero Academia, bakugo/reader - a culinary!AU that I am currently absolutely in love with. I love food, so it’s not a hard sell, but even without my bias, the setting and interactions are A+!! (Going through rest’s masterlist makes me realize I’ve barely read her MHA fics, which I need to fix ASAP...)

“baby, you’re brilliant” by @bobawithpomegranate - My Hero Academia, aoyama/reader - NSFW, cute dating fic!! + I adore the fact that it’s for an uncommon character. I always devour rarepair stuff with a quickness. looking forward to shay’s future works!!

“culture shock” by @tcheschire - Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kaiba/reader - oh my god, YGO has a special spot in my heart because I grew up watching the show and collecting the shit out of the cards - and this fulfills my cravings for YGO, bastards, slow burns, and personal growth. it is currently at 105,875 (!) words and the main characters have just recently (begrudgingly?) earned each other’s respect. Who knows how many more thousands of words it’ll take to get to a date, much less a relationship, but I am HERE for it. The worldbuilding, original characters (a whole gang of them), and pacing are all masterfully crafted. AND!! the duel scenes are LEGIT. Good multi-chap Kaiba/reader fics are hard to find and this is really a story you can sink your teeth into.

last but not least, a fic not from one of my mutuals but I have to advertise it - “A Taste of Your Own Venom” by Crimsoncat on AO3 (My Hero Academia, pairing: shigaraki/reader) is just *chef’s kiss* Be warned + respect the fic tags - it is definitely on the darker side of things, but the way the reader character and her quirk are developed, as well as the world building is fantastic.
