AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! STEVO AND HIS GHOST TRACKS SERIES IS BACK!!!! I mean, honestly, when I clicked on the TDR website with any expectation of a change on it’s home page, I suddenly saw a Casper like figure in blue and purple! Oh man, It feels like season 2 of a favorite series just started all of a sudden.  Thanks Stevo, you’re brilliant, and i’m sure you already know that.  What an amazing first article of Ghost Tracks about one of the most underrated Roxette songs ever. You say it’s Fireworks which has been neglected the most, right? Well, after Stevo’s review, I just realized how neglected “Fingertips” is. So neglected that half the fans actually forgot that it was released as a single.  Yes, a single with a simple yet a very captivating video. Black and White which goes White and Black and vice versa.  I remember listening to this song in 2011 when my brother “rewarded” me for doing something good (don’t really remember what) by giving me permission to grab his “Don’t Bore Us, Get to the Chorus” VCD and watch the Roxette videos till You Don’t Understand Me.  Back then, I wasn’t even aware of “Fingertips” but I very much remember liking it’s beats, Per’s sudden change in hairstyle and the lyrics “fish are jumping too, next to you”.  It’s made you imagine you actually being in clear water where you can dance around with the fishes.  It actually gave a poem feeling. Or maybe that was all i found interesting in the lyrics since I was not even 11 then.  The second time I heard this song was when I got my own “Tourism” cassette and the things which took my attention were: - The bird sounds - The cows mooing - WHERE IS THE DRUM???? “Maybe they were enjoying the Brazilian forests so they recorded a song there”. Yes, I was THAT stupid. (and right after this track, it was The Look live in Sydney, so there was some portion of it’s guitar solo in the fading part as well).  Anyway, not making it on Don’t Bore Us, Get to the Chorus, The Pop Hits, that 2006 Roxette Hits or 30 Biggest Hits and not even RoxBox (which Stevo mentioned as well and it honestly is heartbreaking to realize that on being told in an article *sigh*) Pelle’s drumming really did add life to Fingertips. It gave nails to the fingertips (i mean what are fingertips without nails, right?) Fingertips 93′ was necessary! Many might prefer “Fingertips” over “Fingertips 93′”, but one has to admit that you move your leg more on version 93′.  Thanks Stevo for a wonderful article and for the realization.  Ghost Tracks: FINGERTIPS ’93 PS: This means - Roxette Halloween preparations have started, yayyy! Yes Stevo, Half a Woman, Half a Shadow, I was expecting this one when you were covering Look Sharp! And here it is finally: Ghost Tracks: HALF A WOMAN, HALF A SHADOW Ah, it was hard to believe that this song was written by Marie. I guess this is the best Marie song in the Roxette directory.  And the little "pink tutu" story shared in today's article, yes, that's actually what pop is all about.  And the reverse reel always gives me the Beatles concept in music where John and Paul manually rolled the reels back to make a weird new invention in their songs.  Anyway, lets ow come to today's topic (which I have no freaking idea about).  Hmmm....  Okay, I've never seen Per Gessle celebrate someone's birthday like he is today of Mr. Elvis Presley and Mr. David Bowie.  And I guess I have mentioned Bowie and Elvis plenty of times in what i've written, esp Elvis. He is the most mentioned artist in Per's songs. More then the Beatles since they are not given direct mentions like: - Double Headed Elvis - Elvis in Germany And then there is the direct "Crash! Boom! Bang!" from Jail House Rock. I have not heard Elvis like I have heard The Beatles, maybe there are a few more mentions there of Rock n Roll's dad in Per's music.  I wonder how Per took his death, since he was just 18 and full of emotions. Elvis though had his peak glory years at the time when Gessle wasn't even born. Gessle is awesome.  Now lets come to David Bowie. Okay, I have not heard his music more then the greatest hits (i mean i first heard about David Bowie when I watched that Jim Henson movie "Labyrinth". I didn't even know he was a legendary music artist till 2002). The 3 references I have found till now are: - Per in the mid-80s dyed his hear red like Bowie - Åh Ziggy Stardust (Var blev du av?) - Per mentioning in some documentary that the pants he wore in the video of "The Look" are David Bowie inspired.  Again, there must be more, there definitely are more.  But there is one thing common between Elvis, David and Per; they are all Capricorns.  And one thing for sure can be confirmed; Capricorns are born artists.
