Apollo just kind of…stands there with a smug smile on his face, completely unaware of other situations.

If you think about it, a Ghost could be in love with you right now. Like, say when you're soul mate was a kid or really young they died, so they did the natural  Ghosty thing and went around to look for someone to haunt then one day they came across you and they just liked the feel of you so they stayed with you.They might have been with you for years and had learned everything about you, all your habits and quirks and all the weird little things about you. When you're upset they're there watching, trying to tell you it's okay but you cant hear and that hurts them so. That they'll never be able to help you only watch. But even so, they still stick by you through it all.   When you and your best friend had your first fight, they were there telling you it'd be over soon. When you went through your first heartbreak they were there, trying to comfort you. When you had your birthday they were there with an imaginary gift. When you got a really high score on a test they were there congratulating you. And most days they just liked to watch you, sitting at your computer doing nothing important and they smile because they can see you're happy and that comforts them because they know they'll never be able to hold you, to kiss you, to talk to you.  For all you know they could be watching you as you read this, hopeful that you'll finally realize they're there and they always will be until your last day.
