This is the sequel to Not much of a break, the ghost!Hawks story. I named the file when I still vaguely hoped I could make the story multi-chapter and less bittersweet đ I havenât worked on it again since then, but I definitely hope to. It needs a fair bit of rewriting, but I really want to write a fix-it for my own fic đ
Hawks wakes up in the guest room again. Apparently, the guests are not sleeping here tonight, or maybe he's miscalculating the passage of time again. But no, they are in the living room, the ghost waves detector machine hooked to a computer and whirring in the background as they eat some kind of Chinese takeaway. Hawks approaches the machine without any change in the noises. He waves his hand through it a few times. Eventually he just floats through it, the computer, and the two guests - Spinner and Toga, he's learnt from their small talk - and nothing at all happens.
Kind of underwhelming.
Maybe he can use the kitchen cutlery to make some spooky noises.
"Do you think we were right to stop Dabi from looking?" Toga suddenly asks.
"You know the answer to that," Spinner says, sounding tired, like this isn't the first time they have this argument. "He was literally killing himself, just, just fading away right in front of us."
"Yeah, but..."
"Probably just trying to get himself thrown back in prison so he could let himself die."
Toga sighs and falls back against the couch. "If I ever find who did this, I'm going to stab them until all of their blood is gone. Won't leave a drop."
"That would also be against your parole and deal conditions," Spinner says, sounding fed up.

The fact that the landlord had failed to mention that the walls of his home were consistently, bitingly cold would never fail to piss the fire wielder off
Sure, blankets had helped ease the chill that seeped into his bones in the evenings and nights, but it still lingered, nipped at his muscles
He swore he'd heard his name in the darkness of night, the voice that uttered it honey-sweet and charming
He was probably imagining things
Probably
Tonight had been different, though, Touya'd been on his way to his living room, low-budget sitcom buzzing on the television, before he felt something dreadfully fridgid brush by him, heard the faint shuffling of wings
Wait, what the fuck?
He blinked, once, twice, hardly registering the touch
Hardly registering that it was a ghost
He exhaled sharply, before striding over to the couch, he was far too exhausted for the discovery his house was doubtlessly haunted
There was that sickeningly sweet voice again "Aww, you're just gonna avoid your best friend like that? How sad"
Touya nearly choked on his spit at the sight before him
Wind-tousled blonde locks, and golden eyes met his turquoise spheres, though the man in front of him...
Was transparent, hardly tangible
Shivers rolled over the fire wielder's spine in waves
He was face to face with a ghost, and he could hardly react, as if his brain ceased to function anymore, the phantom chuckled, soft and sickly sweet âBird got your tongue, hotstuff?â yep, his brain had stopped functioningÂ
âWhat the fuck?â was all Touya managed
âMm, funny you ask thatâ the other male responded, grinning now, the look frustrated Touya to no end and he glared at the ghost. A pause, then the ghostly man continued âWell, ya see,I need energy to survive, living energy, and...you seemed like the perfect snackâ
âThe hell? I ainât your snack, Casper the Friendly Ghost. Fuck offâ Touya snarled, face twisting into a grimace as he glowered at the avian, Keigoâs grin grew wider âMmh, wouldnât be too sure about that, hotstuffâ
There was a wave of the ghostâs hand, as if dismissing him, and then the feeling of falling hit him like a truck, his stomach swooped, and he...was shrinking, growing smaller and smaller in size
âAre you fuckinâ kidding me, fix me right the fuck now or I swear to god-â Touya was cut off when he was hoisted into the hair by wispy digits, the ghost smirked below him âYou swear to god youâll what? Hm?â the ghost inquired, his tone was saccharine and playful
The smaller of the two huffed as he was dangled over the ghostâs face
Fight or flight kicked in for the fire wielder too late before the avian phantom had opened his jaws beneath him, tongue dripping with glowy, green drool connected the muscle to the roof of Keigoâs maw
And he was being lowered straight into the depths of it
âWhoa, whoa, wait! What the fuckâre you doing?! Put me the fuck down!â Touya started, writhing in Keigoâs grip, only for the ghost to hum and drop him within the maw fully, the transparent maw closing around him with a echo-y click of teeth, the slimy muscle poked and prodded at him curiously, green slime seeped into his clothing, causing the tiny to gag inwardly
What the fire wielder failed to notice, was that the green drool had been absorbing his energy, it only dawned on him when he discovered how weak his limbs felt, and now...he could hardly squirm against the ghost as it...he-
A loud glrk began to usher the smaller human into the ghostâs throat, Touya yelled out in frustration before the airy muscles hungrily dragged him down, he was able to see the outside of the ghostâs esophagus. Wrapping his head around the fact he was being devoured by a ghost did not bode well with him, in the slightest
A few more successive swallows, and heâd been pushed uncluttered, spacious belly of the phantom âWhat the fuck was that for!? You could have gotten energy without,I donât know, not eating me!â
Keigo chuckled, pushing at Touya gently, the walls squishing around the tiny fire wielder in some uncanny way âIâm well aware of that, hotstuff, but I knew youâd be delectably squirmy! And I wasnât gonna pass that up so easily!â
Touya groaned, giving a halfhearted shove to the walls around him, he couldnât complain much. His surroundings werenât suffocatingly hot or tight, they just. Held him, like a thin blanket, they were comfy and the coolness soothed the heat beneath his skin, with a huff, he settled into the weightless flesh around him. God, this was so weird. And closed his eyes, he was highly aware the avian phantom wasnât gonna allow him out for a while...and a nap was well deserved.
Keigo smiled warmly as the tiny human settled within his belly and eventually fell asleep, allowing a few echoing purrs to roll around Touya in the translucent organ. Patting at him softly before he leaned back in mid air, allowing one hand to rest behind his head, the other settled over the smaller of the two
