my very first two dnd oc's! even though ghilas and pan were in two wildly different campaigns, exploration and discovery were both heavily tied into their backstories. ghilas' pilgrimage is the driving force leading to his amnesiac incident, which effectively traps him in icewind dale where he meets his adventuring party. pan's desire to leave her podunk village and create the Ultimate Travel Guide is what spurs her to throw her lot in with some ragtag mercenaries.
