y'know, I binged the manga for it bc it was short so I knew it was coming eventually and wasn't surprised by it, but the people behind the anime adaptation for go for it, nakamura-kun really put their heart and soul into adapting the girlfriend plotline into a suckerpunch to the gut and honestly? LOVE that for them

they really said "happy pride month, everyone!" and then blasted us with one of the most painfully realest experiences ever had by a queer teenager who's been crushing on a friend. applauding the entire anime team for this

I've been even loving it a bit more than the manga (but that's for purely subjective reasons)#objectively both are amazing
