it isn’t often that he finds himself alone with georgie. usually, it’s him, her and the redd twins hanging out all together. maxxie doesn’t feel like he’s all that great of company one on one and yet, she hasn’t seemed to mind. not yet, anyways. he’s laid out on her bed, a book propped open in front of him but he’s been more or less idly flipping pages. the good thing is, he’ll remember what they say anyways, should he need to recall them. he’d much rather pay attention to her now. “do you think anyone noticed i wasn’t at the new year’s eve ball thing?” he inquires with a tip of his head. “my parents are having some sort of charity dinner and i’m thinking about skipping. you should help me come up with an excuse.” social functions aren’t maxxie’s forte. nothing with the word social in it was, actually.
