The tea is the worst part. I’ve brought proper Earl Grey from London, bone china cup and saucer from my grandmother’s set. A small ritual t
So, I've had this passage in my head since the first time I saw it. I mean, it's obviously staged, but it's the epitome of the homesick British guy in the US. I decided I'd write a short story about it - and the title became my avatar on Tumbr, btw. And I discovered only later how things were actually much worse than what I had imagined !
Okay so im experiencing a Tumblr bug that is unfixable where i can't upload images for some random reason! So— im gonna try one more thing before I just... kinda have to give up because the only thing I saw was a reddit post saying it just... goes away... eventually... so yea.

Pretty pictures vs. reality
I am in remission.
I did not 'beat' cancer and I am not 'cured.'
Remission means that they can't find cancer right now.
Being in remission doesn't mean I feel anything near 'normal.' There's still neuropathic pain, somatic pain, fatigue. The pretty pictures on the clinical brochures don't cover that, or the sometimes permanent effects of nerve damage and radiation fibrosis, or that having lymph nodes removed causes other problems. Pain management is going to be with me for the rest of my life.
I'm going to get grouchy.
