On Friday, October 14, students in the Feltonville Recreation Center After School program enjoyed an evening of relay races, group selfies, and nutrition training on the importance of water. Students received blue water bottles from Philadelphia Department of Public Health's "Get Healthy Philly" initiative. They decorated and labeled their bottles and then took silly photos with them. Students also learned about the location of kidneys in their bodies and the connection between drinking water and maintaining healthy organs. Site Supervisor Jen Cole and Mr. Curtis joined in on the fun.
Also pictured here are children from the Northern Liberties Recreation Center After School program, who participated in the same nutrition activities!
