As you can see, the booths are packed with important executives and interested prospects from all the big #telco companies as well as enterprises who are looking for Pure-Play Open Source Orchestration to handle their #NFV needs.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We announced some really exciting stuff as well. First we have the announcement with Metaswitch, which is a joint project to bring Mutli-VIM VNF orchestration with Cloudify and Clearwater to carriers and ISVs running on #VMware and #OpenStack. This was done in partnership with VMware at booth #3K10.

The second is a project done with Intel’s EPA to optimize performance and throughput of data intensive VNFs in a Multi-VIM environment and can be seen at the Intel booth #3D30.

ARIA

GigaSpaces also announced the formation of ARIA: An Open Source, Open Governance Framework for TOSCA-based Cloud Orchestration. ARIA will serve as a reference implementation of TOSCA (Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications), a leading cloud-agnostic templating model, developed by the OASIS Foundation.

A primary goal of ARIA is to provide a TOSCA reference implementation for a series of open source orchestration projects, including the OPEN-O project.

Open-O

The Linux Foundation announced project Open-O, an open source unified orchestrator project for SDN and NFV. GigaSpaces is very proud to be among the initial supporters and participants for this technology along with the likes of China Mobile, Huawei, ZTE, Intel, KT, Ericsson, and Red Hat.

VMware Panel

Our fearless CTO, Nati Shalom, was invited to join a special VMware panel on Managing Operational Transformation for NFV where the panel spoke about the NFV ecosystem and how things are changing. See the short clip below.
