1. Favorite book? That's a tough one! I have to say either The Help, The Book Thief, or Emma.

2. If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Probably, like, Jesus.

3. Favorite Quote? "Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, 'I'm possible!' (Audrey Hepburn)."

4. What’s the song you listen to when you feel down? Fix You (Coldplay), Stars (Fun.), Amnesia (5sos), and Truly, Madly, Deeply (One Direction).

5. Favorite Disney character? I love Charlotte/Lottie from The Princess and the Frog. She's just great.

6. Favorite drink? COFFEE. ALWAYS COFFEE. SO MUCH COFFEE.

7. If you could go back in time, where would you go to? I think I'd go back to, like, Jane Austen's time, and I'd be a really rad feminist. 

8. What time period would you have liked to live in? Again, Victorian times. As hard as it would be, it would also be a really neat experience. Plus the fashion is awesome!

9. Favorite fictional character? Can I chose more than one? Um I'm gonna say Spiderman, The Doctor, and Kermit the Frog.

10. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? "No amount of success is unattainable (my dance teacher)."

11. If you could trade places with anyone, who would it be with?  Probably my older sister, because she's just naturally brilliant at everything lol.

Wow, I am having a very hard time getting going on this thing.  Every day I look at myself and I know I need to get out there and exercise, but every day I can't make myself do it.  I suppose that's the unfortunate thing about being overweight; you always want to change but your tired, out of shape body just wants more sleep.  It's a vicious cycle.  I want my vicious cycle to be that I get up early and work out and the rest of the day I'm energized and maybe I go to bed at a ridiculously early time, but at least I'll get up the next day.  

I had a hard time with running.  I don't know if it was the aches and pains, my knees, the time, or what but every time I try it, I remember that I really do hate running.  There are ways to establish cardio without making myself do something I loathe.  My new plan is to use "Just Dance 4"s awesome "Just Sweat" feature that works me out by dancing (basically like Zumba) and getting some weight off, then I will try running once again.  Until then, I'll be dancing away at 6 in the morning.  

What is the tallest mountain in the world?

There is a reason people climb mountains. When one sets out upon the path of a mountain, she finds herself alone, no matter who is with her. She can be quiet. The stretching of her muscles and the cool well of her breathing accompany her. The eyes lead straight to the brain, and there is peace. Climbing the mountain is a cleansing, and it is outside of you.

I have climbed mountains green with leaves, and mountains whose leaves were golden in autumn. I have climbed mountains covered in cacti, and those upon whose sides perched leaning stone buildings and windy roads. It is easy to amble up a mountain. Pick a pace, slow enough, stop for snacks or to look at some curiosity on the side of your trail, cut back and forth across the slope. The key to climbing a mountain is to climb it. It is when you are standing at the foot of it that it is daunting, and when you have nothing to distract you from your climbing. When your heart trembles at the foot and when your limbs tremble just before you reach the apex and when you realize you have reached the top and there is only another one waiting.

This is the key. The greatest mountain is always superseded by another. The tallest mountain in the world is the mountain of the self. You feel like you might climb forever. You feel like you will never climb it. And that is the problem. You're thinking too much, you're worrying instead of doing. That is why the tallest mountain is not outside of you, but inside. The enemy of myself is myself.

Being a writer is a bit like climbing a mountain. In some ways it is harder. First starting out, I can say that each achievement I have reached has only given rise to a new slope. When I was young, I wanted to write a novel. I started so many times, and each time the book fell to the wayside and I gave up. Once I had written a novel, I wanted to publish it - only to realize that this meant there were several more little mountains I had to climb to reach that eventual goal. And it is true, we get tired. We long for a place where we can be content.
