The Manpupuner rock formations, also known as the Seven Strong Men, are a group of seven gigantic stone pillars ranging from 30 to 42 meters tall, located in the remote Pechora-llych Nature Reserve of the Komi Republic, Russia. Formed over 200 million years ago through the weathering and erosion of softer rocks around a resilient quartzite core, these distinct monoliths stand out on a flat plateau and are celebrated as one of the Seven Wonders of Russia. Historically revered as a sacred site by the indigenous Mansi people, who believed the rocks were giants frozen by a shaman's spell, the area remains pristine due to its extreme isolation. Accessing the plateau requires either a helicopter charter or a rigorous multi-day trek, and all visitors must obtain official permits to enter this protected state reserve
