Manakin bird mating dance
8/5/25.
Nagisa Ni Te came up on my Bandcamp feed because Glenn Donaldson (The Reds, Pinks and Purples) bought this. We've mentioned the band based in Osaka, Japan several times, but surprisingly never given them their own post.
I first became aware of them due to Black Editions 2 LP release of "Newocean" back in 2022. I first bought Hallelujahs, but then became aware of Shinji Shibayama's "other" band Nagisa Ni Te. It came as no surprise to find out that Stephen Pastel was a huge fan and released a compilation album of sorts on his Geographic imprint ("Songs for a Simple Moment").
"Dream Sounds" is a 4 song, 40+ minute album that the Bandcamp notes (which were probably written for the Jagjaguwar version released in 2005) refer to "the closest Nagisa Ni Te ever gets to a greatest hits record."
In Japan, this was released in 2004 on CD by P-Vine Records and on LP by Org Records.
Will I ever find my way home?
