NICK APPROACHES ISSUES HEAD-ON. he has no qualms about being the “ bad guy ” in any given situation. if he believes a problem or threat can be resolved with violence, he’ll commit violence. this means violence on any level. he’s just as willing to kick a guy during a fight as he is to kill his entire family, and has about the same level of care for both of these — indifference.
that’s not to say he’ll always remove a threat or problem by way of violence. information following this is taken directly from the demon’s covenant, so read ( and be spoiled ) at your own risk.
24. How quick is your character to trust someone else?
He’s slow. Alec is a guarded person and it isn’t so much about the amount of time he has known someone that it takes for him to trust someone. It’s about what they have done to earn it. An example would be with Clary. The entirety of the first season he doesn’t trust to her, but as she does more to prove she has his back the more rope he will give. Then there is Sebastian, who helped his sister (one of the few people he cares about more than anything on the planet), and he doesn’t see that as the only thing he needs to know to trust him. People have ulterior motives, he sees that more and more as the show goes on. He doesn’t believe people to be the type to be a good samaritan and just help people, he’s cynical. It will take multiple acts for him to give anyone a decent amount of rope.
