I know that those of us who play Harvest Moon (Story of Seasons), Stardew Valley, etc., usually end up lamenting, at some point, why we cannot marry so-and-so because of gender barriers. What I would like opinions on is whether or not it would bother you, as a player, if the romance-able characters were “protag-sexual”? Meaning that a player would be able to trigger romances with a character regardless of their choice of sex in character-creation. This would, of course, need to be accompanied by a trigger item / some such thing so that those who want to befriend the bachelors / bachelorettes without romancing them could be free to do so, also.
