How it works
Each locus is a place on a chromosome where variation can happen. Each locus is labeled with a letter and the word locus. At every locus, there are different versions of a gene. These versions are called alleles. Different alleles can produce different traits, or phenotypes.
Some alleles are dominant. This means if an individual has that allele, it will show up in their traits. Other alleles are recessive, meaning they are only expressed when no dominant allele is present.
When a child is formed, alleles are passed down through recombination. Each parent gives one allele for each locus. That way, every individual has two alleles per locus (except on the sex chromosomes, which are a special case but not relevant here).
If both alleles at a locus are the same, the individual is homozygous. If the alleles are different, the individual is heterozygous. Sometimes, when alleles are different, the traits mix or both show up. This is called incomplete dominance or codominance. Not all alleles act this way—only certain ones.

In function of Tisere reproduction I would like to note that birds sex chromosomes work in reverse from humans. There is the Z chromosome two copies of which equals male and one copy of which plus the female W chromosome equals a female.

Tisere lifecycle
Blood-born
A male and a female Tisere, working together, can make a Blood-Born Tisere egg. A Blood-Born egg, a fertilized egg, has an incubation period of 6 months. However, the egg stays fertilized in the mother for three month and then the egg is laid and will take 6 months to hatch. Females will not have recovered from her egg laying in order to have another for at least a year.
