Generra Hypercolor
We need to bring back Hypercolor clothing.
Late 80’s-early-90’s brought around t-shirts, sweatshirts, and some shorts that changed color with heat. Cold day it was kinda pinkish-purple, hot day it was more purplish-pink. You could put your palm on it and leave and impression. And sometimes it would, uh, accentuate areas of the wearer that had closer contact with the clothing.
Invariably they would get stuck on one color, looking like a bad pastel tie-die, when someone would dry it at too high a heat in the dryer.
Generra Hypercolor was one of those things — kinda like Dippin’ Dots — that was marketed as a vaguely Futuristic thing. Nobody I knew took it seriously (“man we are all gonna be wearing thermal sensitive clothing in the future!”) but it was just a fun bit of optimism.
Like Dippin’ Dots: Utterly pointless and yet just a bit of whimsy in the world.

Slightly disappointed that the long sleeve version has a brown base instead of black but now I can wear this wallpaper pattern all year long 😎
