Thought 1
In neoliberal systems there’s no time for respecting processes; no time for proper planning; no money for minimum quality and no space for values. In the neoliberal landscape, politics and private investment are so entangled it's irrelevant to tell the difference between both. The truth is superficial, arranged, negotiated, cool, and digestible in 3 seconds. In this neoliberal landscape, everyone is everything; you can be a doctor, a builder, a lawyer, Superman at the same time and it will never be your fault. Work is always for yesterday and payment is nevertheless uncertain. Social Media is the new education system, the new justice court, the new library; no one questions it, no one has time to. In this perspective, knowledge is economy and access to information. There’s no need for criterion and interpretation, academia is obsolete. Morality is outdated, old fashioned, unnecessary. Ethics are a joke and an obstacle. They’re not sexy for investors, politicians and the youth. Our neoliberal landscape looks like a sea, no one knows what’s under it. What we know for sure, is that everyone is drowning in debts, arrangements, and negotiations for not being exposed. The surface is all that we have.
