We have nearly completed our first weekend in London - and what luck with the weather we've had!!! Today was the best of all, a balmy 79F/26C. Lovely!
So far we've been eating well, and we've had Indian, South African, Fish&Chips, and some sampling of other British foods and homemade pasta and veggies, etc. We explored a food truck market outside of King's Cross station, the antique stalls of Angel/Islington, the graffiti, shops and pubs of Brick Lane in Shoreditch, the HMS Belfast warship near London Bridge, the insane luxurious products of Harrods, and the beautiful grassy fields of Wandsworth Common.
We are staying near the Monument Station in the City (basically, the Financial District), which is quite lively during the week, but dead on the weekends. Our temporary apartment is a studio, currently on the ground floor... but we'll be moved up to the 3rd floor in a couple of days, where there will hopefully be a bit more light :)
The next big adventure will be over the next few days as we go on an apartment search and open a bank account. With any luck, we'll be all moved into our new flat in the next couple of weeks!
That's all for now! Remember, you can make comments below - we'd love to hear from you!
