Terroirific
In 2014, during my time in Geneva, I discovered the Terroirific Wine Bar on Boulevard James-Fazy 14, near Cornavin station. It was a warm, informal, and authentic space that stood out from the more rigid world of wine culture, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The bar was run by Onne Guelbenzu, whose passion and deep knowledge shaped every visit into a journey through European terroirs. He curated wines from small producers and paired them with tapas, live music, and engaging conversations, creating a vibrant and social experience. More than just a wine bar, Terroirific felt like a celebration of wine culture, friendship, and discovery. Each glass came with a story, and every tasting felt both educational and memorable. Even today, I remember it as one of the most genuine wine experiences I’ve had—proof that the best places aren’t always the most luxurious, but the ones filled with passion, knowledge, and shared stories over a glass of wine.
