I find it so weird when people change a character’s sexuality when they do a cisswap/genderbend.
Example:
Character A is gay when he’s a boy, pan when they’re nonbinary, and a lesbian when she’s a girl.
How it Should Be:
Character A is pansexual. He’s pan when he’s a boy, pan when they’re nonbinary, and pan when she’s a girl.
Character B likes boys. He’s gay when he’s a boy, androsexual when they’re nonbinary, and straight when she’s a girl.
Character C likes girls. He’s straight when he’s a boy, femmesexual when they’re nonbinary, and a lesbian when she’s a girl.
Sexuality and gender have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Listen, they’re fictional characters. I get it that you can do what you want with them. But it shows a complete misunderstanding of sexuality and is very demeaning to queer people (or at least this queer person) to suggest that their attraction is a result of their gender.
