He wasn't family, not in the biological sense, yet there he was; at the Kirk Family Reunion. Well--for anyone else it would have been another dinner, but they made an occasion of it, what with the boys out in space it was rare they all could physically visit. Because of that, George had pulled a couple strings he couldn't and helped get him out of London for the week to visit.
But now it was late and, even with all their modern technology, jet lag was a bitch.
So Westley took refuge on the back porch to indulge in one of his guiltier pastimes, once he thought everyone was asleep or at least tucked away in their room for the evening. Ages ago George had him promise he wouldn't smoke in front of the kids. Even though they were adults now, ironically, that wasn't a habit he could break.
