Shadows and Passion: A Gelphie fanfic 18+
The library was cloaked in shadows, lit only by the flicker of a single candle. Elphaba sat at the massive oak table, her focus on the forbidden tome before her. The pages were ancient, their edges brittle under her ink-stained fingers as she traced her quill across the parchment. Every word felt heavy with power, dangerous and intoxicating. She was close to somethingâsomething importantâand nothing would pull her from it.
Not even Galinda.
âYouâve been avoiding me, Elphie.â
The voice cut through the quiet like a dagger, soft and sharp all at once. Elphaba didnât look up. Her jaw tightened, and she kept her eyes on the page, though the letters seemed to blur together now. She could feel Galinda standing there, just beyond her peripheral vision, her presence a tangible weight that pressed against her skin.
âIâve been busy,â she said curtly, her tone clipped, her words deliberate. Just ignore her. Just keep reading. But the quill in her hand faltered, its tip hovering over the parchment as if unwilling to move forward.
Galinda stepped into the room then, her bare feet silent on the cold stone floor. The fabric of her silk nightgown caught the dim light, shimmering like liquid gold as she moved. She always looked like something out of a dream, ethereal and impossible, and seeing her here, in this dark, dusty library, made her seem even more out of place.
âBusy saving the world, or busy avoiding how much you want me?â Galinda purred, tilting her head slightly. Her golden hair cascaded over her shoulder, framing her face like a halo, but there was nothing angelic about the way her lips curled into a smirk.
Elphabaâs breath hitched, just for a moment, and she forced herself to exhale slowly. âGo back to bed, Galinda.â Her voice was sharper now, harder, but it wasnât enough to mask the flicker of something beneath itâsomething she refused to name.
But Galinda didnât leave. Instead, she took another step closer, her movements graceful and unhurried, as if she had all the time in the world. Her delicate fingers reached out, brushing lightly against Elphabaâs jaw. It was such a small touch, so fleeting, but it sent a jolt of electricity through her body.
Elphabaâs sharp green eyes snapped up to meet hers, blazing with equal parts frustration and desire. âDonât.â The warning was low, almost a growl, but Galinda only smiled wider.
âWhatâs the matter, Miss Elphaba?â Galinda murmured, her voice dripping with honeyed sweetness. She leaned in closer, until her lips hovered just over Elphabaâs. The space between them was impossibly small, and all Elphaba could think about was how easy it would be to close it. âAfraid to admit I get under your skin?â
Elphaba stood abruptly, the chair scraping loudly against the stone floor. She couldnât do this. Not here. Not now. But Galinda was relentless, her smirk never wavering as she remained perfectly still, pinned against the bookshelves by Elphabaâs sudden movement.
âYouâre playing with fire,â Elphaba warned, her voice thick with unspoken need. Her hands gripped Galindaâs waist, pulling her flush against her body. The contact was electric, sending sparks racing through her veins.
âMaybe I want to burn,â Galinda whispered, her voice breathless, her eyes locked on Elphabaâs. The words hung in the air between them, charged and dangerous, and suddenly there was no more talking, no more thinking. Their lips crashed together in a kiss that was all heat and urgency, wild and desperate.
Elphabaâs fingers tangled in Galindaâs silken hair, gripping tightly as if afraid she might pull away. But Galinda didnât pull away. She met every ounce of Elphabaâs intensity, her hands sliding up to cradle her face, her lips moving greedily against hers.
The candle flickered wildly, casting dancing shadows across the room as their kisses grew deeper, more frantic. Elphabaâs hands roamed lower, tracing the curve of Galindaâs hips before sliding up along the smooth fabric of her nightgown. Galinda gasped against her mouth, her fingers digging into Elphabaâs shoulders as she pressed herself even closer.
âElphieâŠâ Galinda breathed, her voice breaking as Elphabaâs fingers found the hem of her gown. âThis is insaneâŠâ
âYes,â Elphaba agreed, her voice rough with need. âBut we donât care, do we?â
Galinda shook her head, her golden hair falling around her face like a veil. âNo,â she whispered, her eyes glassy with desire. âWe donât.â
Their lips met again, softer this time, savoring the taste of each other as the tension between them built to an unbearable peak. Elphabaâs hands slipped beneath the silk, finding the warm skin of Galindaâs thighs. They trembled beneath her touch, but Galinda didnât object, her breath hitching as Elphabaâs fingers delved higher.
âTell me you want this,â Elphaba demanded, her voice raw, her body taut with anticipation.
Galinda bit her lip, her cheeks flushed as she nodded. âI want this,â she admitted, her voice trembling. âI want you.â
Elphabaâs heart thundered in her chest, her entire body alive with the promise of what was to come. She kissed Galinda again, deeper this time, her tongue sweeping past her lips as her fingers continued their journey upward.
Galinda moaned softly against her mouth, her hands gripping Elphabaâs arms as she arched into her touch. The sound was intoxicating, driving Elphaba further into the haze of passion that consumed them both.
And thenâ
Galinda pulled back slightly, her chest heaving as she looked up at Elphaba with wide, pleading eyes. âWait,â she whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of their hearts. âAre we really doing this? Here? Now?â
Elphaba hesitated, her breath ragged as she stared down at Galinda. âDo you want me to stop?â
Galindaâs gaze dropped to Elphabaâs lips, lingering there for a moment before she shook her head vehemently. âNo,â she said firmly. âDonât stop.â
