After almost a whole year, I finally watched gcucks final episode. I gave this problem where I find it really difficult to finish things I liked. Call it fear of commitment or procrastination, whatever.

Well, where do I start?

I think this episode was the most Tsurumaki out of the whole series. It was packed with information and last minute expositions, in the cool Tsurumaki way of doing this. The constant newtype to newtype communication actually felt more like an Anno thing tho.

Overall, I guess this one episode tied things up pretty nicely, While I feel the whole series was rushed and WE SHOULD'VE GOT MORE EPISODES OF THE MAIN TRIO FOOLING AROUND AND BONDING, I think this ending didn't leave anything out. What I'm trying to say is that I don't have any pending questions.

It was nice seeing 2d mecha animation from sunrise (or khara i guess) after so many years of constant cg robots. And that cell-shading on the white rx-78 cg model was SCRUMPTIOUS.

Machu finally comforting Nyaan was cute. Nyaan really pulled the short stick, huh? She gives constant wet kitten energy, and I love her for that, she's iconic. But so was our tomato jellyfish. Anyways, they're so cute together, huge sapphic vibes from them, too bad machu has internalized homophobia.

Machu sealing Shuji's destiny with a kiss was a nice send-off (more about that later), she really need to let that boy go.

Throughout the whole series, shuji always felt detached from everything else. Well, he was from another dimension, so I guess this explains everything.

Machu's speech to Lalah really touched me. It spoke to me as an autistic transbian trying my best (Sorry for making this about me).

Well, as all Tsurumaki anime, it doesn't matter if it was rushed or complicated, it's all about hype moments, aura and fangirling. Well, in a good way.

This series overall reminded of Mazinger Z Infinity, and it's celebration on what everything Mazinger is.

THAT MF CHAR REALLY SAID "BOY I BETTER DIP FROM HERE OR I'M COOKED" that was so iconic of him.

Challia really gave up dying because "the kids would be sad ig?", I love him, such a depressed diva. HE SHOULD BE AT THE CLUB! NOT LEADING A COUNTRY!

But now, about the only thing I didn't like about this episode (And I guess this whole series, besides the lack of proper yuri), machu's final line. That was such a shitty line omg. "We'll meet again, the gundam told me" GIRL WAKE UP! YOU HAVE A WHOLE ASS GIRLFRIEND AND YOU'RE STILL RUNNING AFTER THAT TWINK??? I guess some people prefer to live in delusion. Also, she has eyebags now, so I guess this whole "chasing after Shuji thing" is really destroying her. Well that and the whole "wanted criminal" thing, but that's beside.

Overall? I had a really good time with Gquuuuuux (6 u's), it was my first proper gundam series after the Og, (And thank God I watched the first one before cause I would not get shit if I didn't).

For me, this would easily be a 9/10 series, but that final line brings it down to an 8.

I wonder when will be the next time we get another original Gundam series. Sunrise is focused on Hathaway 2 for now, and I guess the gquuuuux kits didn't sell that well besides the main guy. But it was still overall a nice series after Witch from mercury.
