You have all done fantastically well in very challenging situations and the results are clear evidence of your determination, commitment and hard work, all traits we have seen during your training with us and as required of a successful pilot. We are all acutely aware of what tomorrow means to a large number of young people and their families as GCSE results day is approaching, particularly in light of recent events. No doubt there will be a lot of sleepless nights tonight but for those who are due to pick up results tomorrow we wish you the very best of luck. Remember that although it may feel like the end of the world if you do not achieve what you thought you would, it isn’t the end of the world and there are people you can turn to for support. Despite what you may feel, your families have been through similar themselves and understand the anxieties, frustration and feelings only too well. Turn to them, listen to them and take comfort from them as, despite what you may think, they will have your very best interests at heart.
