You don’t really want to get your stuff, you figure that if you’ve gone without it for three months then you can go without it, period. But Jackie was always nice—nicer than you deserved, honestly—and it’ll cause her more pain to see the stuff lying around than it will for you to see the place again.

Down here, on south-bound International, construction muddles the road like weeds through sidewalk cracks. The lanes widen and narrow, cutting themselves off with cones before unexpectedly beginning again. Money flows easily in the north- and westsides, but it gets choked up again past Louisiana Avenue. It’ll be another few years before the roads are fully repaired. Maybe then, it won’t matter, and you’ll have moved on.

communist worm time, first and foremost kahgagha no but really i associate u with slow cinema, those used bookstores that r not organized whatsoever and its just books stacked on books stacked on books (if ur patient u always find good stuff!), the midwestern aestheic (oh how i miss it), cocktail mixology. ur one of the most intelligent ppl i know and definitely one of my favorite people here. u have introduced me to a lot of my favorite things and always remain funny and genuine and just the best.
