He's better now 😭
He was so happy-- soaking up the sun with a big smile on his face, just like usual. Then i went to boil water and he went to the backyard for five minutes. He comes back and i hear this really weird sound and it was him wheezing for air. He puked bile (even though he ate today, so food should've come out) and kept wheezing. Then he started screaming in pain and running into walls, writhing on the floor and looking everywhere clearly in pain and not knowing what to do. He came running to me and threw himself on my feet and when i put my hand close to him he bit it over and over again, not attacking me not piercing his teeth, but rather in the way you'd bite your own fist or a piece of rag to bear the pain of a wound, like babies with growing teeth. I started calling vets in a panic when i saw him run away and hide under the neighbour's bushes, but they all said they open on Mondays. Meanwhile i checked the backyard and rooftop to see if i could find anyone or any weird food he could've eaten. It's not rare when pets get poisoned in this neighbourhood. Sometimes people leave kibbles or pieces of chicken filled with rat poison or glass shards, which is why i don't let my dogs eat anything off the sidewalks. It's horrible.
After ten minutes he was tearing up but already quiet and he came to hide behind me and eat some grass. I was relieved, because it scares me the idea of his running off to die somewhere or feeling like he won't be comfortable dying at home if he is that ill. Not long after he's all better and already trying to fight Michi and steal food again. Maybe he had a really strong cramp?? Or the bile burned him from the inside?? I was afraid he'd have a torsion or something. At least we confirm he isn't poisoned.
Gosh that was the most stressful 20 minutes of my day. I almost thought he'd die 😭. I'll closely check on Belo until Monday.
