just now going through your lore Olympus stuff, and yeah, the fact that Mintheβs life was in Hades hands (as in her apartment her job her security) was not the βawe but he is so thoughtful he was trying to help herβ move that the author thought it out to be.
I think the only thing worse than Mintheβs treatment throughout this wretched series is the authorβs choice to demonize Demeter. Did she not read The Pomegrante by Evan Boland
you can absolutely tell rachel smythes main priority with lore olympus as a modern retelling was to do anything but villainize hades. which when adapting one of the main stories about him being a fucking villain, obviously has adverse affects on the rest of the cast. hades and persephone have to be perfect, who can we have as a villian then? oh! of course, demeter! and we can even still go the sexual violence angle... with one of the most still known and loved in the modern age gods, especially among queer men, apollo! of course! of course!
