“Oh,” nami could only reply in that one single syllable before blinking straight ahead, heart hammering in her chest as she just watches the road while they drive.

“I— okay, t-take care, and, um. How long is he… out for? Like— when’s his case?”As much as she could, nami stayed away from anything that had to do with him and her life before kiri. She couldn’t handle any more of it, trusting the hero to take care of everything while she tries to live the life she was destined to have before everything happened to her.

But on days like today— she couldn’t help but wonder, ask, desperately looking for any closure.

Here he was catching view of the mistress of magic herself! Waaaaaaaait did he do something? Being caught by the reaction of a gasp gave him the strangest impulse to run, as if he was a witness of cookie jar thievery. How could be the case when he’s done no such thing!? Why else would they be gasping at each other while hunched or stiffened up into these dramatic looking positions?

Thinking of it in that fashion caused his cheeks to puff up with a pinch of amusement before they deflate entirely. Instead, a familiar smile is brandished while he raises a hand, offering a playful form of salute at the sight of her arrival. Part of him couldn’t resist getting in some brand of silly spirit with one of his friends now close by.
