Cool exercise I use to build strength in my fingers, from Gary Chaffee's book - Technique Patterns. It uses each finger individually, which helps build speed, strength and dexterity. When my teacher first showed me these exercises many years ago, I was shocked to find that I barely used my little finger on my left hand at the time. I probably wouldn't advocate playing like this as it's a little awkward compared to playing with all three fingers, as per the norm. But it does help to isolate any problems you may have and it's kinda fun.
