.... and I should be sleeping. "Wonder Object" Artist Gary Schott utilizes his skills as a Metalsmith to create playful and beautiful mechanized objects. During my small mental breaks (**highly recommended when quietly working 12-14hr days making stuff**) I've been thinking a lot about automata (aka mechanical toys) and the rest of this year. Making automata is something I've always wanted to focus on more. 2013 was about making some huge life changes and getting certain things I needed to creatively "out of the way." 2014 looks like a horizon and that is certainly exciting.

This project asks to create a kinetic object that produces either sound or light. Wonder Object by Gary Schott combines the mechanical with art; something I'd like to focus on for this project.
